Council approves building-fee ordinance aligning hourly rates with Gresham; effective July 10

"Gresham is going from $175 an hour to $184 an hour," Staff member - Planning/Building (S3) said, and the council set an effective date of July 10, 2026 for Ordinance 2-2026.
Council opened a public hearing, heard no public comment, and then moved, seconded, and approved the ordinance by voice vote. Staff described the fee change as roughly a 5% increase for affected hourly work and said the update follows the required building-code review and the state Building Codes Division 45-day notice process.
