Burbank nonprofit coalition outlines services, launches BurbankCares.org

"We serve a 100 and over a little over a 180,000 community members," Warren said during the presentation, noting a broad network of partners delivering services across the city.
Speakers from member organizations reported specific partnerships: the Boys & Girls Club coordinates after‑school and summer programs and partners with dental and vision screenings; Lisa’s Care Connection and Convalescent Aid Society described pooled resources for senior services; and the Burbank Humane Association outlined public‑safety and prevention campaigns the coalition supports.
Coalition leaders also launched BurbankCares.org, a directory and referral tool intended to connect residents with services and a shared calendar of nonprofit events. Rom Kokopian, president of the Burbank Humane Association, said the platform will help residents find services and donors connect with needs. Council members thanked the coalition for its collaborative work and encouraged continued coordination with city departments.
Staff and coalition representatives said they will continue to update the council on coalition activities.
