The Town Administrator told the Board Dec. 8 that a special election to fill a Selectmen vacancy is scheduled for next week and said the town is eager to complete the election so pending personnel matters can move forward. She listed two immediate hires: a Transfer Station position and a Town Administrative Assistant, noting the town is currently short-staffed.
The Administrator said executive sessions will be held next week with the incoming Selectman to review these staffing items. The Board also received the Acton Shapleigh Youth Corp annual report and reviewed recent ballot clerks with no issues noted.
