Public comment raises questions about Facility Assessment for Old Gym; hearing set for Nov. 29

During the public comment period on Nov. 1, Joyce Bakshi asked whether the final draft of the Facility Assessment for the Old Gym—prepared under the Capital Improvement Committee—had been received by committee members. Bakshi said committee members had not seen a final draft. Town Administrator Jennifer Roux replied that the draft is posted on the town website in preparation for the public hearing and offered to send it to committee members.
The board listed a public hearing on the Facility Assessment/Old Gym for Nov. 29 at 6:00 p.m. as a pending item. Bakshi also asked about the bid process for recreation purchases; Select Board Member Tom McGurty said he would work with the Recreation Director to put procurement guidance in writing and arrange in-person viewing of items prior to approval.
