The Recreation Committee narrowed shed options to three suppliers and presented them to the board Nov. 1. Quotes included Hillview Mini Barns (14x24 wood shed, $10,010.95, with leveling and a gravel base to be provided prior to delivery), Crazy Moose Amish Outlets (14x24, $8,300, base not provided) and EB Carports (24x31 metal building, $16,801.93 plus approximately $3,700 for a slab). Recreation Director Samantha Singleton said local companies and other quotes were reviewed.
Board members asked for comparable, local options and in-person viewings before awarding the purchase; Select Board Chair David Winchell, Jr. said the town must "view all options and stay within a certain radius." McGurty and others emphasized following precedent for in-person evaluations and comparable pricing. The item was tabled for follow-up and McGurty will work with the Recreation Director to obtain additional local quotes.
