City manager lists summer events, corrects community block party date to Aug. 19

The manager initially misstated the block-party date as June 4 and then as Aug. 18; Vice Mayor Duvall corrected the record, saying the party is Wednesday, Aug. 19 from 6–8 p.m.
The manager reminded residents that nominations for the Good Neighbor Award and Neighborhood Pride Award are open (Good Neighbor nominations due Aug. 1), provided contact information for volunteer administration, and encouraged neighborhoods to host their own block parties. The announcements were informational and required no council action.
