"Some of the fees are going up anywhere from 4 to 6% on average," the director said, adding that the adjustments are designed to recover the city’s direct costs rather than generate revenue. Councilors framed the changes as routine cost‑recovery measures to reduce the general‑fund subsidy of permit services.
Council approved the fee updates by voice vote. Staff will publish the amended master fee schedule and apply the new fees to permit applications going forward; the changes aim to match permit revenues to service costs and preserve long‑term financial stability.
