Lake Arrowhead CSD awards $115,519.56 procurement contract for Lift Station #11

The Lake Arrowhead Community Services District Board on March 24 authorized the General Manager to execute a procurement contract with Levon Construction for materials for Lift Station #11 (Project No. 273). Engineering Manager Gus Albarran told the Board the existing lift station is over 40 years old and has exceeded its useful life; the single low responsive bid was $115,519.56. Funding for materials will come from Wastewater Capital Improvement Fund 210; the total project budget is $200,000 and additional materials remain to be purchased to complete installation.
Vice President John Wurm moved to award the contract and Director Jacqueline Brown seconded; the motion carried with AYES: Boydston, Brown, Chappell, Wurm and ABSENT: Ambrozic. The Board noted that District staff will perform the installation and the procurement contract covers materials only.
