County engineer Bridal Hrovsky updated the board on multiple road and bridge items. Hrovsky said the bridge on F70 is complete and crews are finishing closeout work; seal-coating contractors finished Mount Pillier and were working on Vail, Boxcar and parts of Burlington. He said upcoming work includes replacement of expansion joints on McEwen and Gidney Lake bridges in the fall and a G28 concrete paving project that will be in the August DOT letting, with a likely start date next summer.
Supervisors discussed scheduling constraints, noting railroad-flagger requirements slowed a Stewart Road segment and weather windows affect when bridge joint replacement can occur. The board heard that short-term cleanup and shoulder work remain and that competitive bidding is expected for the August letting.
