The Town of Nutter Fort Council voted Aug. 13 to buy a 2024 Ford Super Duty F‑350 for the Public Works department and to pay off the remaining balance on the 2015 Nutter Fort EMS ambulance, with both motions carried by unanimous vote.
Council discussed current fleet composition and replacement timing: Public Works operates two tool trucks, two dump trucks with plow capability, one summer truck and two plow trucks; two trucks will be replaced through grant funding next year and others are not expected to be replaced until 2029. Councilor Charlene Louk moved to approve the F‑350 purchase through T&S Ford using Sales & Use tax funding; Councilor Karen Phillips seconded and the motion carried unanimously.
Council also approved applying Sales & Use tax funds to pay off the remaining balance owed on the 2015 EMS ambulance after a separate motion by Louk and a second by Phillips; the motion carried unanimously.
