Board package pairs permanent base‑pay raises with one‑year millage supplement
Summary
Committee members said the board approved a compensation package that includes permanent base‑pay increases for most employees and a separate one‑year supplement contingent on approval of a millage renewal; the package also proposes different banding for a future MOU if the millage passes.

Committee member (S6) and staff (S1) described a two‑part compensation package: a permanent increase to base pay for qualifying employees and a millage‑dependent supplement that would only take effect if voters approve the renewal. "This is a permanent this shows commitment... This is on everyone's base pay," S6 said, adding that the millage money in the renewal will be negotiated into a separate MOU with banding that could vary in 2027–28.
S1 and S2 said the board reserved $6,000,000 from this year's collected millage (contingent on voter approval) to fund the one‑year supplement and had adjusted proposed percentages to favor earlier‑career teachers who received little last year. The committee agreed to present the package to the membership for ratification and to place the ratification packet on next Thursday's board meeting agenda.
