During the Town Administrator's report the administrator said the Dept. of Labor granted a waiver on Dec. 3 that allows the town to apply a single drug-testing policy aligned with existing DOT/CDL requirements. The administrator said this came after an internal federal policy review and the waiver allows consistent rules for all employees.
The administrator also described recent outreach with T‑Mobile: a Nov. 18 meeting that did not immediately promise tower construction but prompted engineering follow-up on Nov. 25. The administrator observed that carriers are exploring satellite systems such as Starlink as alternatives to traditional tower builds.
On fiscal administration, the report listed real-estate account statistics: for FY2026 there are 1,033 RE accounts totaling $2,239,193.05. The report said 25 FY2025 accounts remain unpaid totaling $54,639.02 and would be scheduled for foreclosure on Feb. 12, 2027 if not paid; 11 FY2024 accounts totaling $26,883.50 face foreclosure on Feb. 20, 2026 if not cleared.
