Board approves additional cleanup at site labeled '33', including tree removal and mulching

The Heritage Pines board approved a proposal for additional cleanup at an area identified as '33' on Dec. 10, 2024. District Manager Chuck Adams presented the scope of work requested by Supervisor Carol Vaughan; the scope includes perimeter cleanup, removal of dead trees and mulching. On motion by Michael Walsh and seconded by Stephen Putman, the board approved the proposal including the optional scope of work, with the invoice to be paid upon completion.
District Engineer Kurt Heath said there is a natural wetland in the center of the area and a separate excavated retention area on the western side; he also noted that the south side is difficult to mow with equipment and recommended weed‑whacker work for the dry retention slope as an optional scope. Chair Kathleen Lonergan asked that maps be provided to Supervisor Putman and confirmed the area from the wall to the white stakes is CDD property.
