The White House City Council approved Specific Use Permit 26-0728-610 for Abdul Motors LLC, allowing continued automobile sales at the site along Highway 110. Planning staff explained the property has historically operated as a car lot, the request stems from a change in ownership and business name, and the application proposes no site modifications, building changes, expansion of use or changes to access, parking or circulation.
"Staff finds proposed use as consistent with the previous operation of the site and recommends approval of the specific use permit as presented," planning staff said. The council opened a public hearing; no members of the public spoke. A council member moved to approve the SUP, the motion was seconded, and the council adopted the permit by voice vote.
Council members noted the item was largely procedural because the use has operated historically at the location and no physical changes were proposed. The city will record the specific-use permit to reflect the new ownership and will monitor compliance with any operational conditions attached to the permit.
