The Town Administrator told the Select Board that the citizen survey has concluded and preliminary totals are available. "There was a total of 114 surveys received. 68 were completed online while 46 are paper copies," the administrator said, adding that the survey was open for 30 days and was distributed via the town website, social media, paper copies at the town office and other venues.
The administrator said the intent was for Hope residents to complete the survey but acknowledged there is no method in the survey to fully prevent responses from outside the intended control group. The administrator reported Hope has 1,397 registered voters (an 8.16% response rate) and noted the town population at the 2020 Census was 1,698 (6.71% response rate against population). Complete, standardized survey results will be discussed at the Nov. 25 Select Board meeting.
