Duchesne County approved a contract with Strata Networks to provide fiber and Business Ultimate Broadband service to the County’s new Roads Department facility. Information Systems Director Taylor Warr told commissioners that Strata’s proposal includes construction and splicing of fiber to the building demarcation point with no charge for construction if the County signs a 36‑month service agreement; the monthly fee is $279.99.
Pher Peterson of Strata Networks explained the monthly rate matches the County’s existing Road Department service. Commissioner Jeff Chugg moved to approve the Strata Networks agreement and authorize the chair to sign; Commissioner Tracy Killian seconded the motion and it passed with all commissioners voting aye.
The agreement authorizes Strata to schedule fiber construction and service activation following contract execution. The County did not record any public opposition; staff will coordinate installation scheduling and service start-up.
