County authorizes Strata Networks fiber service for new Road Department at $279.99/month

The Duchesne County Commission authorized a fiber construction and broadband service agreement with Strata Networks for the county’s new Road Department building during its July 13 meeting.
Information Systems Director Taylor Warr presented the quote for Strata to place and splice fiber to the building demarcation point and activate Business Ultimate Broadband service. The proposal carries no charge for fiber construction if the county commits to a 36‑month service agreement; monthly service is $279.99. Pher Peterson of Strata Networks said this is "the same cost that we are currently paying for the existing road department building," and commissioners voted to approve the agreement and authorize the chair to sign.
The contract approval clears the county’s communications plan for the new facility; staff will coordinate scheduling for construction and service activation under the terms of the 36‑month agreement.
