Emily Lamm appointed to Nutter Fort council seat through June 2025

Mayor Sam Maxson opened the Sept. 24 meeting by presenting the council’s recommendation to fill the vacant seat left by Jim Link. After interviews with five prospective candidates, the mayor and two council members recommended Emily Lamm for the position.
Councilor Rick Lafferty moved to appoint Emily Lamm and Councilor Charlene Louk seconded the motion; the appointment was approved unanimously. Lafferty described Lamm as showing “forward and positive thinking” during the interview process. Lamm’s term was set to run through June 30, 2025. The council did not take additional action related to the vacancy at the meeting.
