Council authorizes mayor to enter amended interlocal agreement with Utah County to finish Main Street project

Staff asked the council to authorize an interlocal amendment to allow the city to use the remaining funds to finish the final two pieces of the Main Street project; staff said the county manager approved the amendment.
Councilor S4 moved to authorize the mayor to enter the agreement and S5 seconded the motion. The council took a roll call vote and recorded affirmative responses; the mayor announced the motion carries. The staff presentation noted the funds were those the city’s lobbyist secured and that the amendment would allow completion of the breezeway and two remaining blocks so the entire Main Street project can be closed out.
The council did not attach additional contingencies or a revised project schedule during the meeting. Staff said they will proceed with executing the interlocal agreement consistent with the county's approval.
