Finance Director Cathy Jensen presented the PARC Committee’s recommended allocations totaling about $410,300 for local arts, recreation and park projects and said the recommendations will appear on the May 6 council meeting agenda for approval. Jensen said $10,000 was added to the PARC fund to pay for advertising and pamphlets for the upcoming PARC tax renewal.
The list included grants and allocations for community groups (Payson Community Theater, Payson City Band, Payson Civic Chorale) and city projects (playground and signage), and staff noted the PARC funding package is separate from the general fund and subject to council approval at the May meeting.
