Board leaves public hearing open on possible sale of Warren Green Hotel property
Summary
At the Jan. 15 meeting the board heard staff information on a proposed disposition of the Warren Green Hotel (approximately 23,000 sq ft at 10 Hotel Street, Warrenton) and agreed to leave the public hearing open and re-advertise the matter for a future meeting when more information is available.
County staff described a potential disposition and sale of county-owned real property known as the Warren Green Hotel building and recommended the board leave the public hearing open pending further information.
Mister Bowman presented the item, saying it involved "certain real property consisting of 23,000 square feet more or less located at 10 Hotel Street Warrenton known as the Warren Green Hotel Building," and suggested leaving the hearing open so comments made that night could be considered and so the item could be advertised again for a future meeting when staff would present additional details.
The board did not act on the disposition at the Jan. 15 meeting. Staff acknowledged the board did not wish to take action that evening and will return the matter to a future agenda after further advertisement and when more complete information is available.
No public speakers appeared during the hearing at this meeting. The board's approach preserves an opportunity for additional public comment and formal action at a later date.
