Council approves plat and site plan for four-story hotel in The Grove

Pleasant Grove approved the Battle Creek Business Park Plat B replat and a commercial site plan for a four-story hotel on Lot 8 of the replat. Director Daniel Cardenas told the Council the proposed hotel would be roughly 51 feet tall with 112 rooms; the plan provides 124 parking stalls (the code requirement is one stall per room). The Planning Commission unanimously recommended approval and city staff said the proposal conforms to The Grove design standards and height limits.
Dillon Hutchins of SJ Company, representing Wolfgramm Capital, said the developer has a Letter of Intent with TownePlace Suites by Marriott and is willing to work with City design standards. The Council approved the plat and site plan unanimously and directed staff to finalize the development agreement before construction permits are issued.
