City Attorney Christine Petersen presented a housekeeping ordinance to align the Municipal Code with the City’s Fee Schedule by removing a specific $10 late-fee reference in both the Waterworks System and Sewer System chapters. Petersen explained that the Fee Schedule, which is set by resolution with the budget, already establishes the current amounts and the code language needed to be updated to reflect that practice.
The item drew no public comment and the Council approved the ordinance (2025-011) unanimously. Petersen said the change preserves the City’s practice of setting fees through a transparent Fee Schedule rather than a fixed dollar amount in code.
