During public comment Connie Kindler of Avalon Manor thanked County Engineer Robert Church for his responsiveness on community traffic safety issues and said the Safety Association supports the proposed traffic‑calming measures. Kindler urged the Board to approve the improvements so they could be installed this fall and said she hoped a subsequent speed study would provide data to justify installation of a traffic signal in the future.
County staff told the board they have reviewed a revised Avalon Manor traffic signal design and plan to circulate the updated design to the municipality for its review. No formal action to fund or install the signal was taken at the meeting; the item remains at the engineering and municipal-review stage.
