Commission asks for traffic and sight-line analysis for proposed church addition

Staff member Jeremy Charlie warned that other permitting steps remain dependent on the outcome of related technical reviews and on a FEMA LOMA submission for a floodplain boundary. Jeremy said, “without the LOMA, if FEMA doesn't approve that letter map amendment, the entire site plan is gonna change.” The applicant's engineer said he will review the police and SLR comments and provide sight-line information and any necessary traffic counts.
The commission indicated it would accept a focused sight-line submission if the issue is limited to sight distances; a broader formal traffic study (counts and 85th percentile speed analysis) may be required if those materials indicate a safety concern. The hearing remains open while the applicant collects and submits the requested traffic and sight-line documentation.
