Board accepts deed transferring Pine Grove Park from dissolving community services district

Staff explained that the Pine Grove Community Services District is dissolving under the LAFCO process and that the district has deeded one acre (including the office, fire station parcel and park) to the county. Staff advised the Board that the county will need to formally accept the deed and authorize a certificate of acceptance. The staff report said the park has been funded in part by a cell tower's revenue stream and that the county reserved the associated funds during the LAFCO negotiation; the county will continue to receive those funds via the water agency as arranged.
The board discussed how the transferred water and cell-tower funding could offset park costs; after discussion the Board adopted the resolution accepting the deed and authorizing execution of the certificate of acceptance (motion carried 5-0).
