Blue Bamboo arts group thanks city after library conversion, reports 16,000 visitors

During public comment, Lynn Darcy said the Blue Bamboo Center for the Arts is thriving in its new home at the former Winter Park library building and thanked the city for support.
"In the past year, we have hosted over 200 performances and welcomed more than 16,000 guests," Darcy said, and described ADA upgrades, a 60-seat event space and a recent hire of a professional talent buyer to bring nationally recognized artists while continuing support for local musicians.
Darcy asked the commission to continue its partnership with the arts community and invited commissioners and residents to attend upcoming events at 460 East New England Avenue.
