"In 2024, we noted about 5,000 net job growth in York County," Gonzalez said, citing that as context for workforce and industry priorities.
Gonzalez outlined seven focus areas in the plan: future of industry, workforce development, entrepreneurship, economic mobility, quality of place, infrastructure/built environment, housing, and the rural economy. He said the updated plan includes a benchmarking tool hosted on the Economic Action Plan website to monitor progress quarterly and that staff will inject new census and federal/state data to refine strategies. Commissioners asked for concise materials and next steps tied to individual action items.
