Attorney/Planner Fleck informed the Council that the city had received an appeal challenging the SEPA Mitigated Determination of Non-Significance (MDNS) related to an application for a Special Use Permit for the property at 31 Sitka, submitted by Olympic Coast Rentals, LLC. The Council set the MDNS appeal hearing for August 10, 2026 on a motion by Soha, seconded by Patel.
Fleck provided procedural background about the appeal process and what parties should expect at the hearing; no substantive action on the underlying permit application occurred at this meeting. The Council’s action was to schedule the appeal hearing so the matter can be considered on the August 10 agenda.
