The Cascade County Board of County Canvassers approved the results of the June 2, 2026 primary election after the election office walked commissioners through a full reconciliation of tabulation and hand-count totals. Election Administrator Terry Talps guided the board through the state-required SB 440 reconciliation spreadsheet and the county’s supporting reports before seeking certification.
Talps told the board the reconciliation balanced: "We have 0 ballots to account for when you add it all up and it comes out in a wash." Commissioners reviewed poll‑register totals and candidate subtotals for each precinct, identified and corrected a small four‑vote variance in one contest, and accepted Talps' documentation of how that variance was resolved. A commissioner moved to approve the canvas and the motion carried with the board voting aye.
