County moves forward on courthouse security cameras and fence, removes prepay requirement

Register of Deeds Caryn Hojer told the board that Castlerock will install fencing around the HVAC equipment and that the committee had received quotes for camera systems from Onsight ($32,004.85) and Efraimson Electric ($12,138.00). The committee asked to proceed with cameras now and to defer the alarm system work for later; the Board approved accepting the Onsight and Efraimson estimates provided the required prepayment clause was removed because county law prevents prepayment of vendor services.
Hojer also said the county had applied for an additional grant covering push bars, extended glass and window tinting for the clerk’s office. The Board directed staff to proceed with contract terms that comply with county purchasing rules and the grant scope.
