During the Jan. 6 meeting the Board opened two bids for a courthouse security project: Comm Tech of Pierre submitted a bid of $174,382.00, and On Sight 24/7 of Mitchell submitted $253,644.00. The Board recorded the bids and set the award date for Feb. 3, 2026.
Separately, Register of Deeds Caryn Hojer requested replacement/upgrade of Wi‑Fi access points in the courthouse and an additional basement access point. The Board approved spending up to $600 for the update. Hojer also informed the Board she will purchase a new paper shredder for the Register of Deeds office.
