The Parowan City Planning and Zoning Commission took the following formal actions at its May 6, 2026 meeting:
1) Approval of Minutes: Motion to approve the March 18, 2026 minutes was made by Commissioner Jerry Vesely and seconded by Commissioner Jamie Bonnett. The motion carried unanimously.
2) Zone Change Recommendation (Parcel A-0026-0027-0000): Motion by Commissioner Jamie Bonnett, seconded by Commissioner Weston Reese, to send a negative recommendation to City Council on rezoning the parcel from A-1 to R-3, with a notation that the commission would support R-2. Motion carried unanimously (5-0).
3) Transportation Master Plan: Motion by Commissioner Jamie Bonnett, seconded by Commissioner Jerry Vesely, to set a public hearing date of May 20, 2026 to consider a minor amendment reclassifying 100 North as a minor collector. Motion carried unanimously.
4) Adjournment: Motion to adjourn by Commissioner Jerry Vesely, seconded by Commissioner Jamie Bonnett; motion carried unanimously.
