The Park Rapids City Council approved a multi-item consent agenda at its May 12 meeting that bundled routine personnel actions, vendor payments and permits.
Notable consent items included Resolution #2026-75 and #2026-76 approving wage and step increases to Rapids Spirits Liquor Store Clerk Shari Carlson and to Public Works Utility Maintenance Worker Greg Mackenzie; Resolution #2026-77 approved a wage and step increase for Park Rapids Police Officer Joseph Rittgers. The agenda also recorded payments such as $135,496.25 to Northland Bond Services and $26,578.74 to the Hubbard County Auditor/Treasurer, plus approvals for three outdoor concert permits for A Better Place (June 11, July 30 and Aug. 22, 2026), operator licenses and a pawnbroker renewal.
Councilmember Christensen moved to approve the consent agenda and Councilmember Engholm seconded; the motion carried unanimously. These actions take effect as authorized through standard administrative processing unless otherwise noted in each resolution.
