The Wallingford planning commission unanimously voted to forward the updated town plan to the select board, and the board accepted that forwarding July 20, scheduling a public hearing for Aug. 17 at 6:00 p.m. (half an hour before the regular meeting) as the required next step for adoption.
A planning commission representative explained the commission met for a warned hearing and received two public comments regarding the historical section and a West Hill request for more information; with those corrections made the commission moved the plan forward. Board members agreed the planning commission (or a representative) will attend the August 17 hearing and staff will follow statutory notice requirements.
