Tammy Anderson, Director of Equalization, presented two property tax requests. The Board approved a refund related to record #129 for prior years totaling $527.63 after the property owner paid the 2026 taxes; Commissioner Troy Nelson amended his earlier motion to change the 2026 abatement to a refund before the vote. The Board also approved a partial abatement for record #8405 in the amount of $352.00.
Register of Deeds and IT Administrator Caryn Hojer requested authority to sign a Memorandum of Understanding with Dakota State University to participate in the Project Boundary assessment; the Board approved the MOU authority on a unanimous vote. Hojer also informed the Board the county needs to migrate email to a .gov domain and noted the Laura Ingalls Wilder Society requested permission for basement vault research with a mold waiver.
