County Auditor Echo Steffensen told the board the county could use HAVA funds available through the state to purchase election equipment. The board approved purchasing seven poll‑pads from KnowInk, LLC for $21,310.00 (motion by Roger Walls, second by Troy Nelson).
Steffensen also requested approval to buy a laptop for absentee voting for $800; the board approved that purchase (motion by Steve Spilde, second by Troy Nelson). The minutes record the funding source for the poll‑pads as HAVA money held by the state and show unanimous board approval for both items.
