Board hears Traffic Calming Assessment; radar signs and golf-cart rules planned

The River Ridge Board reviewed the draft Traffic Calming Assessment 2025, which outlines Tier 1 and Tier 2 strategies to reduce speeding and improve safety. Charlie Krebs reported that three permanent and one mobile speed radar signs will be installed throughout the property in the first week of February and that documented speeding violations have decreased since education measures began.
The Board asked staff to update Page 9 of the report with the Traffic Study conclusion and requested that members advise staff about any additional areas of concern. Staff will inform residents about existing mandates and consider installing “Do not pass golf cart” signs at the front entrance and crosswalks; the Pelican Sound Board is also considering bylaw changes to its traffic violation terms.
