District counsel says Corkscrew Road ownership opinion unchanged; Johnson Engineering study to include west side

District Counsel Tony Pires told the board that, after retrieving documents, his opinion regarding ownership of Corkscrew Road west of U.S. 41 has not changed. The board discussed Village of Estero's engagement of Johnson Engineering to inspect streets and walkways to determine necessary repairs and ownership/maintenance responsibilities; PSGRC President Neil Collins said the town-hall discussions are focusing on the intersection of U.S. 41 and the east side of Corkscrew Road. Mr. Wilhems confirmed the study will include the west side as well.
Mr. Pires and Mr. Krebs gave an overview of the County and Village positions on ownership and maintenance, based on past documents and memoranda; Mr. Pires said he will forward contact information for Apple Signs to Mrs. Adams.
