The Village of Beecher Board on Dec. 9 approved payment of $329,249.53 in bills and payroll and accepted a three-year audit engagement for $75,700. Treasurer Donna Lippelt presented the Treasurer's report before the board voted on the financial items.
Trustee Kraus moved to approve payment of the listed bills and payroll; Trustee Diachenko seconded and the motion carried on a unanimous voice vote: AYES — Trustees Stacey, Tieri, Kraus, Gardner, Diachenko and Weissbohn; NAYS — none. Separately, Trustee Kraus moved to sign an agreement with Groskreutz, Abraham, Eshleman & Gerretse LLC to audit the village financial statements for the next three years for a total of $75,700; Trustee Weissbohn seconded and that motion also passed unanimously (6-0).
The board was provided variance reports and other financial documents in the meeting packet. A Joint Fuel Committee meeting was scheduled for Dec. 19 at 10:00 a.m. at Village Hall to address intergovernmental fuel arrangements.
