At the public-comment portion of the meeting, Lisa Popek-McElrath described a longstanding property‑line dispute involving 238 Meredith Neck Road. She said she purchased the parcel in 2011 and was taxed as owning 6.4 acres and roughly 600 feet of frontage. She said a town-ordered map revision removed that frontage and reduced the parcel’s acreage by approximately 3.4 acres.
Popek‑McElrath said she was not notified as an abutter of the mapping change and that the neighboring property owner appears to have received a different survey. “When they moved the line, they’re getting more, I’m getting less, and the neighbor is getting less,” she said, explaining she would prefer to negotiate or have a new survey done if that will resolve the dispute.
Chair Aiken and Manager Milner advised Popek‑McElrath to meet with town staff; Milner accepted a packet Popek‑McElrath provided and gave her contact information. Board members noted boundary disputes often require a privately hired surveyor or legal review if the town’s map differs from private surveys; the town advised the resident that staff would review the case and the tax maps and coordinate next steps.
