Public Works Director Craig Hale said the second landing was constructed for material storage and is accessible through the highway garage gates so deliveries would not interfere with the transfer station. He said roughly three sections of pipe fit per tractor‑trailer, so deliveries will arrive on multiple trucks, and that access to the dock would be coordinated through his office.
Milner said the project attorney and the town attorney negotiated the storage agreement, which the board reviewed, and Chair Aiken noted the project is FEMA‑funded and requires American‑made materials, reinforcing the concern about long lead times. The Select Board directed staff to continue coordinating logistics and to place any final storage agreement on an upcoming agenda for formal approval if needed.
