Staff cautioned the change could affect family‑subdivision splits and parcels in R2/R3 that lack public water and sewer; Miss Johnson noted a pending variance application in Cartersville as an example of where minimum‑lot‑size changes could limit transfers to family members.
The commission approved the recommendation on a recorded vote and will transmit it to the Board of Supervisors for consideration; the motion does not itself change the code — it is a recommendation to the board.
