The Hardee County Planning & Zoning Board recommended approval Aug. 7 of Planning & Zoning application 25‑63, a special exception request by TNG to permit storage of wholesale fiberglass septic tanks in existing warehouse and office buildings on two parcels (about 11 acres) at 2798 Garza Road.
Jordan said staff reviewed the request and determined the proposed use meets the special‑exception criteria in section 90.804, and recommended forwarding the item to the Board of County Commissioners with the condition that the property obtain site‑development‑plan approval before any building permits are issued. The applicant seeks to use an existing ~14,400‑square‑foot warehouse and a ~960‑square‑foot office for wholesale distribution and storage.
A board member moved to recommend approval based on the testimony and evidence presented; the motion was seconded and carried by voice vote.
The recommendation will be forwarded to the Board of County Commissioners for final action. Jordan noted the owners must secure site‑development‑plan approval prior to permits.
