Milton Board of Health votes to transfer custody of Animal Shelter site to Select Board ahead of Warrant Article 41

Town Administrator Milano had provided a memo and maps that were included in the meeting packet.
Board members discussed that Article 41 proposes clarifying that the Select Board has custody of the land and would authorize use of the Animal Shelter property for solar panels. Town Administrator Milano explained the parcel history in the memo, noting that Article 18, passed in 1954, previously placed custody with the Board of Health and that the portions of Lot 9 south of the access road are leased to Granite Links as part of the golf course. Member Deborah Milbauer described public-health benefits of solar during the discussion. The board did not decide whether any solar would be leased or purchased, or whether panels would be ground-mounted or rooftop; those details were left unspecified.
