Article 5 asked voters to authorize creation of a Planning Fund to help pay for updates to the Town Plan and the town’s Hazard Mitigation Plan, which must be updated periodically. Nancy Howe moved the article, it was seconded by Rudi (Dan) Ruddell, and Selectboard Chair Gary Mullen explained the fund’s intended purpose and schedule: the fund will be established this year with funding planned for next year.
Mullen also said the town intends to continue working with Two Rivers for planning services. The article passed by voice vote (‘All aye’). The Planning Commission plans a public meeting to gather resident input for the Hazard Mitigation Plan.
