During the April 30 meeting the Health Director, Caroline Kinsella, outlined a series of upcoming community events and professional trainings. Community-focused items include a May 16 food drive (9 a.m.–12 noon), a May 20 prevention play at the Council on Aging at 6:30 p.m., a June 2 Milton Coalition QPR suicide-prevention training, and a June 4 screening of the documentary "Keys, Bags, Names, Words" about Alzheimer’s at the COA at 6 p.m.
Kinsella also reported on upcoming professional development: she and Public Health Nurse Susan Poirier will attend the Massachusetts Association of Public Health Nurses conference on May 13–14, and Kinsella and Anne Grossman will attend the Montana Institute conference during the week of June 15. No additional funding or policy decisions were tied to these events in the meeting minutes.
