Health Director Caroline Kinsella provided a multi-part operational report including enforcement, events, and capacity items. She reported a housing correction order and court filing for 333 Thacher Street with a repair deadline of April 20 and a planned reinspection on that date. East Milton Wine and Spirits remains under an asbestos-abatement plan; a dumpster has been ordered and repairs have begun at the housing property.
Kinsella also listed upcoming outreach and training: Drug Take Back Day is scheduled for April 25 at the Police Station from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.; a 'Tick Talk' Zoom presentation is set for April 28 from 6 to 7:30 p.m.; an Alzheimer’s presentation is under consideration for June; Stephen Hill’s presentation was rescheduled to Sept. 30. Kinsella noted the department must complete the 240-question SAPHE 2.0 Performance Standard Survey and that Milton’s largest capacity gap is maternal, child, and family health. Staff plan to attend statewide conferences in May and a community norms institute in June, paid from grant funds.
