Site-selection committee schedules evening meeting Sept. 8 and will publish candidate parcel addresses

Captain Drake moved that the committee schedule an evening meeting, publish the candidate addresses ahead of time and aim to leave that meeting with a recommendation to the Board of County Commissioners; the motion passed.
County staff said they will attempt to contact owners to confirm whether parcels are for sale and, where possible, supply price or appraisal information for the committee packet ahead of Sept. 8. The county manager reminded members that the committee’s recommendation is advisory and that the Board will need the full entitlement and sale information before authorizing acquisition or zoning changes.
