After-the-fact walk-in cooler cleared by Conservation Commission for The Works Café

Representatives for The Works Café and GPR Engineering presented an after-the-fact filing for installation of an 8'x22' walk-in cooler and new sidewalk. Staff noted the applicant had obtained a building permit for outdoor seating and refrigeration but had not filed with the Conservation Commission as previously advised during Planning Board review.
The commission found the completed work was not closer than 75 feet to the wetland and issued a Negative Determination of Applicability by roll call vote 7-0-0. Commissioner Lauren Harnett asked whether the new freezer could cause chemical leaks; Jessica Halloran of The Works Café responded: "there is no freon and it’s a vapor, so it wouldn’t leak liquid." Salem said he would coordinate with the property owner about general trash issues on the property.
